About Komodo National Park — Independent Travel Guide & Local Operator in Labuan Bajo

Disclosure: Komodo National Park (komodonationalparkticket.com) is an independent English-language travel resource operated by a team based in Labuan Bajo, Flores, under the umbrella of Juara Holding, an Indonesian travel and hospitality group. We are not affiliated with siora.id, the Balai Taman Nasional Komodo (BTNK), or the Government of Indonesia. The official Komodo NP booking platform platform is located at siora.id, and BTNK’s official site is at tnkomodo.id. Our role is to translate, explain, and contextualize the Komodo NP booking platform ticketing process for foreign visitors who arrive at Komodo National Park each year. We also operate licensed Komodo tour packages through our sister brand, Komodo Luxury, so when our editorial content recommends a tour operator, we always disclose that relationship clearly. This site exists because foreign visitors consistently struggle to navigate Indonesia’s new mandatory ticketing system, and we believe a transparent, well-sourced English-language guide is a public good. We operate from Labuan Bajo, the western gateway to Komodo National Park, and our team has been guiding visitors across Flores, Komodo, Rinca, and Padar since 2017.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help foreign visitors enjoy Komodo National Park safely, legally, and confidently. Komodo NP booking platform, the mandatory ticketing app launched mid-2026, introduced a new layer of complexity for international travelers, including unfamiliar payment flows, foreign-visitor pricing tiers, daily quotas, and language barriers. We built komodonationalparkticket.com to be the single trusted English-language resource that explains every step from account creation to QR-code entry at the jetty. We commit to keeping pricing, regulations, and ranger requirements current, sourcing every claim from BTNK announcements and verified operator reports, and offering practical guidance that respects the park’s conservation goals. Every guest who arrives prepared is a guest who treats Komodo with the care it deserves.

Our Editorial Standards

We follow a rigorous editorial process designed for accuracy, transparency, and conservation-aligned reporting.

Source verification. Every regulation, fee, and quota figure on this site is sourced from one of three categories: (1) official BTNK announcements published on tnkomodo.id or in government gazettes, (2) direct screenshots and tested transactions from the Komodo NP booking app at siora.id, or (3) cross-verified reports from at least three independent licensed Labuan Bajo tour operators. When a single source is the only available reference, we label it clearly.

Fact-checking. Pricing, quota numbers, and regulatory changes are cross-checked against the most recent BTNK communication plus three operator sources before publication. Our team in Labuan Bajo physically tests booking flows, payment options, and jetty entry procedures monthly during peak season.

Update frequency. Pillar guides (such as our Komodo NP booking platform complete guide and Komodo ticket guide) are reviewed monthly. News-style updates (such as quota fills, app outages, or regulatory changes) are published weekly during peak season (June–September and December–January).

Conflict-of-interest disclosure. We operate Komodo tour packages through Komodo Luxury. When our content recommends an operator or tour, we always disclose our financial interest and consistently recommend the best fit for the visitor rather than our own product when another operator is a better match for the visitor’s budget, group size, or itinerary.

No paid placements. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage, ranking position, or favorable mentions. Sponsored content, when present, is clearly labeled.

  • Industry membership: Member of ASITA (Association of the Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies)
  • Guests served: 12,000+ international and domestic visitors since 2017
  • Parent group: Juara Holding, operator of Komodo Luxury and multiple other Indonesian tourism brands

Our boat fleet, ranger partnerships, and jetty operations all comply with current BTNK regulations and Komodo NP booking platform ticketing requirements. We have processed thousands of Komodo NP online bookings on behalf of foreign guests since the platform launched.

Why We Built This Free Public Resource

When Komodo NP booking platform launched in mid-2026, our customer care team began receiving dozens of identical questions every day from confused foreign visitors. The official app, while functional, was designed primarily for the domestic Indonesian market, and the English-language documentation was thin. We built komodonationalparkticket.com as the guide we wished had existed when we were first onboarding international guests onto the new platform.

Site monetization is straightforward. Most content on komodonationalparkticket.com is free and will always remain free. We monetize through optional booking assistance services and tour packages offered by our affiliated operator. If you read our guide, complete your Komodo NP online booking independently, and visit Komodo without ever speaking to us, we consider that a success. If you’d like our team to handle your booking, organize a tour, or assist with payment issues, we offer that as a paid service.

Komodo National Park is one of the most ecologically significant marine and terrestrial reserves in Southeast Asia, and its long-term health depends on responsible visitation. Our team is committed to:

  • Reef-safe sunscreen advocacy. We educate every guest on the difference between reef-safe and reef-damaging sunscreens and stock approved options on our boats.
  • Single-use plastic ban support. Komodo National Park enforces a single-use plastic ban. We provide reusable water bottles and bulk water refills to all guests.
  • Conservation fee transparency. We publish clear breakdowns of where each fee component goes, including BTNK conservation, ranger services, and jetty maintenance.
  • BTNK partnership on visitor education. Our Ranger Coordinator works directly with BTNK staff on visitor briefings, dragon safety distance protocols, and trail guidance.
